The Sixth Form visit Carroty Wood...
In October the entire 6th Form went to Carroty Wood Adventure Centre in Kent for a three-day residential visit. Carroty Wood offers outdoor education, with instructed activities such as kayaking, climbing and rafting, and great facilities, all set in a beautiful rural location at North Tonbridge.
Every day, we had the chance to do different things and the tasks were fun and gave everyone the opportunity to get to know one another better, particularly the new students.
We lived in lodges together, cooked our own meals and made sure the lodges were tidy and clean. The best part of the trip was taking part in the low ropes course, when, working as a team, we had to help one another complete the course, walk over log bridges, rope swings and rope ladders, while avoiding muddy pools. Some students did fall in the mud but everyone completed the course because of the good team spirit.
