Uniform
The Principal and the Governors want students to be proud to represent St Michael & All Angels Church of England Academy and have adopted a uniform policy. The new school uniform has been agreed in consultation with the School Council who met earlier in the year to discuss and choose the uniform which they feel represents the vision of the Academy.
As ambassadors for St Michael & All Angels the students want to be seen as ‘smart, proud and ready to work hard at all times’.
Provision of Free School Uniform Items
As part of its commitment to working with its students, parents and the local community, the Academy and its partners have made arrangements for all existing students to receive the following items of uniform free at no charge to parents.
The free items of uniform are:
- One school blazer with the St Michael & All Angels Church of England Academy logo
- One school jumper – black with red tipping for boys and red with black tipping for girls
- One school tie with the Academy logo - compulsory for boys / optional for girls*
- One polo shirt with the Academy logo for sportswear.
* Girls who opt not to wear a tie will receive a ‘free’ open necked revere blouse instead of the tie.
Parents are asked to note that the wearing of a uniform is compulsory and parents will be required to ensure that each student has the full uniform, including sportswear, to enable them attend the new Academy in September.
School Uniform Direct (SUD) a company with 24 year’s experience, has been appointed by St Michael & All Angels Church of England Academy as the official uniform retailer for the uniform for the new Academy.

Details of all the uniform items required can be found in the table below - the items with a tick will be supplied by the Academy. Other items of uniform can be purchased from School Uniform Direct. Parents will be able to purchase other items of regular school wear for example shirts, trousers, skirts and P.E sports wear from School Uniform Direct store – or online from their website.
